ILLUSTRATIONS FOR AN EDUCATIONAL iBOOK
CLIENT
School of Medicine, University of Dundee. This project was part of my Medical Art Internship
THE CHALLENGE
Lecturers at the School of Medicine wanted to create an iBook about Cannulation, to teach medical students how to place cannulas on patients. The resource had to include a series of images to help the students understand the anatomy of the skin and blood vessels before taking on practical work.
Some of the images on the first draft didn't have the correct licence for free educational use and therefore could not be included in the book.
THE PROJECT
As part of the the Technology and Innovation in Learning Team (TILT), I was asked to create new illustrations that could be incorporated into the iBook. The images were released under a Creative Commons licence so that they could be used freely for teaching purposes. They are available for free educational use with attribution and you can download them from the TILT Flickr page.
