E-Learning Development Team, University Medical Center Groningen
THE CHALLENGE
The E-Learning Development Team works closely with lecturers, students and multiple departments of the University to create a broad range of learning materials. Each project is unique, but the team has developed a working process that every project follows to ensure that it is properly thought through, developed, and tested before its release. The goal of this project was to create an attractive visual resource that condensed all the information about the team's working process.
THE PROJECT
We chose our friendly hand-drawn infographic style to make the information-heavy image aesthetically pleasing and easy to read. Boxes were used to divide the process into steps and small icons were used to show who is involved in each step. Two versions of the infographic were made; a vertical one to fit our poster design and a slightly more horizontal one to fit the University's printed A4 guidelines to be given as a handout.
THE E-LEARNING TEAM'S WORKFLOW
The infographic (in Dutch) explains what happens from the moment the team receives a request until the E-Learning resource is live and ready to use.
The infographic was included in one of the team's posters presented to the NVMO Congress (Netherlands Association of Medical Education). We also presented a second poster about the use of learning analytics with illustrations in the same style. You can see both of them below
